The halls of the Castle house numerous collection of medieval and renaissance art. There are extensive collections from the age of Carlo Magno to Rococò, as well as fine furnishings, frescoes, ceramics, china, prints and drawings. Significant archeological section.

HISTORY MUSEUM IN TRENTO

The Museum documents the history of Trentino from the end of the 18th century to the end of the World War II and focuses particularly on the Risorgimento, the two world wars and the Resistence.

TRIDENTINE DIOCESAN MUSEUM AND THE EARLY CHRISTIAN BASILICA

The Museum was founded in 1903 to conserve the artistic heritage of the Diocese and contains wood sculptures, a small but precious collection of illusrtated manuscripts, a large number of church vestments, fabulous Flemish tapestries and unique gold ware. The archeological area beneath the cathedral is an integral part of the Museum.

MART - MUSEUM OF MODERN AND CONTEMPORARY ART, TRENTO E ROVERETO

The building was constructed by the Madruzzo Prince Bishops of Trento in the 16th century. It hosts the best of the pre-1918 permanent collection. The two floors are also used for special temporary exhibitions.

TRIDENTINE NATURAL SCIENCE MUSEUM

Housed within Palazzo Sardagna, the permanent exhibitions are laid out by theme: vertebrates, invertebrates, Alpine pre-history, mineralogy, paleontology. Special attention is reserved for educational activities; there are numerous temporary exhibitions.

THE SASS UNDERGROUND ARCHEOLOGICAL AREA

This is an area from the Roman period of 1700 square metres discovered in the basement of the Teatro Sociale and Piazza Cesare Battisti. It represents a large section of Tridentum. To be seen part of a paved street, a segment of a city wall, the remains a tower that had been transformed into an urbica door, a house with mosaics and a craft shop can all be found. There are also various rooms for conferences, lessons etc. It hosts exhibitions, shows and receptions.

CIVIC GALLERY OF MODERN ART

The Gallery is located near Piazza Duomo and acts as an exhibition area, and in particular as a creative space and information centre, as a workshop for the city, and as a consultation centre for catalogues, videos and for access to the IT networks for modern art.

"GIANNI CAPRONI" AERONAUTICAL MUSEUM OF SCIENCE AND INNOVATION

The Museum is located in the Mattarello airport area. It houses and displays a collection of aeroplanes and memorabilia of international significance collected by the Caproni family. The hall contains more than 20 historic aeroplanes, 9 of which are absolutely unique.

S.A.T. MUSEUM (SOCIETÀ ALPINISTI TRIDENTINI)

The Museum houses a collection of documents, photographs and memorabilia related to the history of the SAT, moutaineering and the history of Trentino itself. Much memorabilia tells the story of the mountains huts, Alpine Guides and the early ascents of the peaks.

HISTORICAL MUSEUM OF THE ALPINE TROOPS

The Museum is situated on Dos Trento and contains memorabilia, weapons, photographs and documents which relate the history of the "Black feathers". A war memorial is located in the crypt and dedicated to Military Valour Medal holders. Near the Museum is the Memorial to Cesare Battisti.
