S. Maria del Suffragio
The Church of S. Maria belongs to that group of sacred buildings erected in the course of the eighteenth century like the church of S. Francesco and the church of the Annunciation it was built in baroque style.
It has an ovoidal area with three niches that host three more altars: in the apse niche, deeper than the others, lays the main wooden altar with an altar piece of the Madonna with child and St Gregorio Magno. In the niche to the right there is another wooden baroque altar with an eighteenth century crucifix whilst the one on the left holds a marble altar from the end of the nineteenth century. It is overhung by a tambour dome. The facade that features an archetraved portal depicts once more an eighteenth century style.
